Our first night was spent at First Landing Resort.  This is an excellent place that is right next door to Vuda Marina - useful for friends of yachties.

We had a wonderful Lovo - traditional Fijian feast followed by Meke - Fijian dancing that enacts stories and legends.

We enjoyed the hammocks on arrival - even if we found them a little low and tipped out of them when we first tried them.  Behind Angela is a view of the Mamanuca Islands.

The waiter said he'd bring a special coconut cocktail - it was delicious.  We had the lovo special Fijian buffet, then I went to see schoolgirls do traditional Fijian dancing and singing.  John chatted to a New Zealand businessman who had dinner with us.
