We swam and snorkeled around Beachcomber Island, which seems an excellent place for day trippers from Nadi, backpackers and couples who want a bure. It has 84 bunk beds with lockers in its dormitory - it has no side walls. The atmosphere was very friendly and we could have stayed there longer.
Beachcomber Island was not rowdy as we might have expected, given it has a youthful clientele and disco. We intended to visit the disco, but we were all tired after swimming, as I suspect many visitors are at the end of a beach day.
